This time last year: I [and a few other folks] were jumping out of an airplane in the Alps, we randomly banned garbage disposals [remember that?!], Raleigh had the ‘Downtown of the Month’, Campbell closed on Hillsborough Place, a super high tech grocery story was opening in North Raleigh [did this happen?], plans were being released for a Visitors Center, Walnut Creek changed names again, we found out Airborne doesn’t work, folks were being ‘crash tackled’ by bikers and serving their husbands antifreeze wine.
